The 4 D's of Time Management by Helen Butler

Posted by Jayne Day on May 16, 2012 at 10:30 1 Comment

We had a fabulous online chat with Helen Butler in May 2012 on Time Management and finding an extra hour in your day.  Here is the notes from the chat.

Tonight I’d like to talk about four time saving skills you can implement straight away to ensure you get through your to do list – and find you an extra hour a day.

Sound good?

Before we start I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself.

The Pros and Cons of Retail in 2012

Posted by Jodi Gibson on May 14, 2012 at 14:55 0 Comments

As another month passes by I am contemplating the pros and cons of being in a retail business. The first three months have certainly been full on and as I have said before, they have been a huge learning curve. And for the most part it has been enjoyable. But, as with everything the honeymoon period gradually fades and the reality of being in a niche retail business sets in.

Retail is tough in this day and age. With the current world economic situation combined with…

apple How Good Are You?

I have been sharing the speaking platform with
Brad Tonini (Australia's Sales Strategist) quite a bit of late. While he has many great ideas and messages, there is one that has been resonating with me quite a bit. It is his concept of "Are you good enough to get better?"

New horizons

Hi ladiesI've been MIA for a while now, and the reason for it can be pin-pointed to the recent 6 week challenge.  Not that I found it a bad experience - in fact it had the opposite affect!  It made me realise that I have lost the passion for the work I do (technical writing, training and elearning development).  Its been the driving force for me for the past 17 years and I think that well is finally dry.  Hearing the passion that everyone else had for their businesses made me realise its what I…See More

Fiona Neumann of Skills Savvy

Fiona Neumann has eighteen years call centre experience which includes ten years management and eight years recruitment experience. Fiona took the challenge and successfully completed her Masters in Human Resources in 2008. While on maternity leave for the second time she made a bold move and started her own small business Skills Savvy – Call Centre Recruitment Specialist.

“I decided that I wanted to help parents return to the work force and maintain a family/work/life balance. I understand the pressure of working full time, while working around day care hours. It can be frustrating and exhausting. Flexibility is the key when you are looking after young children”.

Fiona Neumann has hired parents returning to the workforce in her previous role in a call centre at the Commonwealth Bank. It was a great success for it provided them with great flexibility, most opting to work school hours. Call centres are a huge industry and the majority are open 24/7. Fiona has had the privilege of working in the industry and also recruits for call centres, so she would love to give other people the opportunity to work in a professional and energetic industry.

Skills Savvy offers each job seeker with experience and knowledge of the call centre industry. We pride ourselves on being professional and personalised.

We would love to hear from you.
